chandimal might be the wicket keeper cuz he has the potential to be the next sangakkara. Also dilshan is a cracking fielder at point and cover than he is a wicket keeper. we’ll see.

they sent in today gambhir and dinesh to open the innings and neither of them is a big hitter. in a crucial game like this when india opted to bat they should be looking to score something close to 200 so that they might restrict lanka to 180 or so. i know it may also be possible if india scores like 170 they still can restrict lanka under 150, but why take chances.
the point i wanted to make is since india has big hitters like pathan, dhoni, yuvraj, rohit sharma, raina, they shoud be facing the maximum number of balls so that we can get maximum runs. now in my opinion gambhir’s 42 of 31 isnt good enough, well it may turn out it is good enough at the end of the match but i still feel india think-tank or management is just not giving enough balls to its big hitters.
in my opinion this should be the batting order of the indian team and its team composition.

would it have improved our team’s chances in the World Cup?

I know it’s good not to expect everything from Sachin but except Raina none of our batsman looked to be in good touch and our Top order is flopping big time.This team had lots of batsmans who played in the bouncy tracks of SouthAfrica in the first edition of the tournament but what happened to them now is the question in million minds of India.

If Sachin agreed and played would we had a better top order batting performance?.Murali Vijay certainly flopped for us:(
I just said we could’ve done better with our batting guys.Sachin was in good form in the IPL season.

What justification can you give for the inclusion of Yuvraj and Jadeja? Raina and Pathan are good players on flat pitches only. We need a balanced side which should include Dravid (good player of short pitched bowling), Amit Mishra (best spinner in India) and ppl like Trivedi and Balaji (good T20 bowlers)

Australia absolutely dominated India in every facet of the match and recorded a huge victory. however I have not seen one question or answer from an Australian saying that the Aussies will win the world 20/20 cup. Many people have claimed that Australians are arrogant but if the other team won would the comments about being favourites to win it be coming thick and fast?
