It’s because everyone thinks that Swanny and Harbhajan Singh are brilliant spinners simply because they play for better International Sides (England & India respectively). Shakib Al Hasan plays for Bangladesh and is currently the best All-rounder in the world and has got better economy rates than both of them in ODI’S. So who is better - Be Honest please!!!
-Must be atleast 1 player from Australia, South Africa, India, New Zealand, West Indies, England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistani in the team
-The team cannot have more than 2 players from the same team
-Has to have atleast 2 frontline spinners
-3 batting, bowling or genuine allrounders
-2 specialist openers
-atleast 2 fast bowlers
This is my team for example;
1.Brendon McCullum(NZ)(wicketkeeper)
2.Chris Gayle(WI)
3.Gautam Gambhir(IND)
4.Kevin Pietersen(ENG)
5.Cameron White(AUS)(allrounder)(spinner)
6.Shahid Afridi(PAK)(allrounder)(spinner)
7.Albie Morkel(SA)(allrounder) (fast bowler)
8.Dale Steyn(SA)(fast bowler)
9.Umar Gul(PAK)(fast bowler)
10.Ajantha Mandis(SL)(spinner)
11.Abdur Razzak(BANGL)(spinner)

what a wonderfull drama packed year 2008 has been for cricket. The year has seen the begining of a decline of Australian dominance, the rise of South Africa, the millions of dollars spent on Indian tournaments, A complete revamp of the 2007 world cup second-runner-up New Zealand team, the growing isolation of Pakistan, the West Indies team left looking like swiss cheese after many retirments, England losing out on 20 million, Bangladesh having its first win over another test playing nation in years, the struggling Sri Lankens…
So what are your predictions? where are these teams heading in 2009?
"I think Rajasthan was never a threat. Except for Yusuf Pathan, the other guys were pretty ordinary … We weren’t really worried about anyone else." - Gambhir

bangladesh mostly stand at no. 9 in ODI ranking.
and bangladesh have their team debut in 1986, and after 12 years they have their 1st victory in 1998.
and they have their first series win in 2004/5 against zimbabwae.
if we hae at other sub-continent teams.
india have debut in 1974, and after 9 years, have won world cup. and today it is one of best team of world.
srilanka have debut in 1975, and after 21 years they also have won world cup in 96.
and pakistan also have debut in 1972, and after 20 years in 92 they also have won world cup.
and are good teams standing at 4, 6 ODI ranking.
but bangladesh in 24 years of cricket, they are still not able to have win any big event, but they don’t have too many victories, in their career. they have finished last year as most succesful year of career, with 14 win out of 19 games.
but these been mostly of underdogs, they have won against scotland, netherland, and West indies A team.
they have only few victories against good teams, as they have win against Australia, and 2007 world cup they beat india in group match, and keep india out of World cup, and in super eight they also beat SA.
and they lost west indies in first icc T20 world cup.
in their 24 year of cricket they don’t have won any big icc event, but they not have won any series against good team.
and from their current performence, still not looking to win against any good team.
so will they be able to win any big icc event . and name any big event for their country.?

or why are they performing like Australia (when it comes to 20-20 australians are disaster).
The team is nowhere near what it was during the last year, the killer insticnt is missing and the energy levels are also low.
in last world cup we were like Road Roller crushing everything that came in our path ,but this year performance has been anything but good.
so what are the reasons for such display
1) It is because we were clubbed with bangladesh and ireland and that being the case we were robbed of tough competition in gropu stages
2) Players are tired because of excessive cricket ,(read the recently concluded ipl)
3) We still struggle against quality pace bowling, except yuraj and pathan no one scored much.
the way rohit sharma and raina got out it clearly shows they were struggling against the west indian pace bowlers
4)our bowling lacks variety and Innovation ,because the way bravo and co knocked down those 150 runs one feels bowling is mediocre to say the least.
5)Or we are suffering from worst bout of over confidence and complacency has taken over this Indian side
I know we have suffered only one loss, but the win against minnows like bangladesh and ireland was also not impressive.

They are losing to everyone.
Test Matches
They Have made a World Record of Losing Against Australia , They Lost Against South Africa (Both Home and Away) , They Lost Against SRI lanka , They were losing in newzealand when rain Intervened to save them , They Also have lost 2 out of last 4 series against India with one series Draw and one win. Lost against England in england too .
ODIs
Lost Both home and Away against INDIA ( In fact Pakistan has lost 3 out of last 4 Bilateral series between the two countries)
Lost Against SOUTH AFRICA (Home and AWAY)
LOST against Newzealand recently in 2-1.
Slaughtered By Australia everywhere (Home , away , neutral what not)
Lost against Sri lanka in the ODI series after T-20 World cup also lost at home against SL before.
The only team they have won against in both tests and ODIs is Windies and other teams like Zimbabwe and bangladesh.
Don’t tell me they are Isolated or anything , their record is pretty crap even at home and before Isolation and during the last 3 or 4 years.
They are doing well in t-20’s but could not back up their performance in other forms like India did after t-20 success in 2007.
What is the reason for Such Humiliating and Horrible performances?
Trivia: Pakistan lost 10 games in a row before winning the last t-20 against England recently.

India is not best team, but it is the team that has given good competition to best team of world. In recent times,It has defeated England in England,West Indies in West Indies,Pakistan in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in ODI series at Sri Lanka. It has defeated South Africa in test in South Africa and is only 6th team in world to do so.It has defeated Australia in CB series finals, won 20-20 World Cup (a good team wins any championship no matter what format is it),were the finalists in 2003 World Cup,were finalists in 2000 Champions trophy and joint winners in 2002 Champions Trophy.
But here foreign users still rate it below teams like England and New Zealand and compare them to West Indies and sometimes Bangladesh. This is really unfair as no team apart from India challenegd Australia.
If you check performances of teams after 2003 World Cup in abraod matches:-
India (Wins -13,Losses - 9)
South Africa (Wins - 13,Losses - 12)
England (Wins -10,Losses - 12)
Pakistan (Wins - 5,Losses - 10)
Sri Lanka (Wins - 8,Losses - 11)
New Zealand (Wins - 5,Losses - 11)
West Indies (Wins - 2,Losses - 21)
I also don’t love BCCI but that doesn’t mean you should put down a team which is second best performer in abroad for last 5 years after Australia.
Bill P,Sri Lanka don’t have great ODI and Test record in total but that doesn’t mean they are minnows.
Damo, that’s difference between India and other teams.Other teams once in a while defeated Australia and got great respect whereas India has to always prove to foreign media,ex-cricketers and their people that why they should be listed as one of best teams of world.India gets respect because of BCCI’s influence and not because of India’s improved perfomance over the years.that’s where India gets the tag of under-rated team in world.
MTBM,it is not racism. They rate Pakistan and Sri Lanka as better teams than India because these teams never challenged Australia.
Bingalee, every country’s players have done some misdeeds be it Pakistan,Sri Lanka,Australia or England. If any player from a country that has not done any misdeed, then it is Bangladesh or Zimbabwe.
I am asking not only to foreign users but also to Indian users.Whenever india loses, you launch a attack against Indian team. But sometimes you fail to recognise that inspite of struggles they face, lack of infrastructure and other hardships, they are winning for India so many matches.A recent example is when seniors failed in Sri lanka series, there was a agitation here and in media that seniors should be removed immediately. When seniors are performing well against Australia, then you want them in team.
My fellow Australians,Australian cricketers are most hated in world and no team can come close to their misdeeds.it is bitter truth that your team is crybaby team who think it is ok to abuse other but when same come to them, they cry like a baby.
Australian misdeeds
1.No team in this world used under-arm bowling to win match except Australia.
2.No cricket captain influenced umpire’s decision by rasing his finger like a umpire except Ricky Ponting.
3.No cricketer sledged and abused batsman for not walking after claiming a false catch except Slater.
There are so many instances. There is a proverb for you Jake G - Chor kotwal ko daate (thief scolds police).Australia is worst behaved team in world.you have to deal with this truth.

He pulverises the opposition with his unforgiving bat, but even Virendra Sehwag has his fears. On Wednesday, the Nawab of Najafgarh confessed that he is terrified of surgeries, stitches and scars. Which is why, when he was “forced” to get a painless hair transplant, he considered metamorphosing from the bald to the beautiful.
