How can India goto the FIFA worldcup? (i know not anytime soon but maybe 20 or 30 years from now)?
Posted in Uncategorized on 03/10/2010 11:26 am by adminI want to see India goto FIFA world cup and compete against European and south American power houses of soccer before i die, well I’m 23 so i have lots of time (hopefully). So with a country thats overly obsessed with cricket, Parents forcing their kids into something other than what they actually want to pursue in life and no money how can they ever goto the world cup? But wait…money? if they have money for cricket equipment than buying a soccer ball, cleats and shin pads…geez i think should be around the same price? personally Soccer is way more fun and entertaining than cricket so what’s this boring cricket stuff?? so why can’t other kids out of that huge population see what i see that cricket is boring? and go about pursuing soccer?? maybe the media should help promote it? need more sponsors for facilities? start teaching kids soccer at ground level, meaning in schools? any other suggestions??

Heh, well it’ll be long and tough for Indian futbol. There should be a top league get involved in India and set up soccer camps/schools, the stadiums and equipment needs to be purchased, and it needs to be promoted. The youth that goes through the soccer schools that are being taught by, like say Italy’s Serie A or Spain’s La Liga, would then be very talented futbol players and would usher in a wealth of talent to the Indian National Team. Then they would be top contenders within the Asian Qualifying zone. But getting all that kind of support is the hard part. But hey, you never know, the Philippines are getting that kind of help from Germany and got some real young players in clubs like Chelsea FC and Fulham FC

well in india soccer is not a popular sport unless a billion more soccer playing people go to india then it would become more popular cricket is like the nation’s sport
you can think of it as why dont Americans every make it to the cricket tounament thingy
